Theme :
My research interests focus on the study of behavioral modulation of the host seeking behavior of Anopheles gambiae by insecticide and/or repellent treated materials. We are using two approaches: i) the first phenotypic one aims to study the behavioral modifications induced by insecticides on both laboratory and wild An. gambiae populations and ii) the second functional one aims to explore the olfactory mechanisms underlying these behavioural modifications at the neurological and genetic levels. This PhD project aims to generate knowledge about the behaviour of the major malaria vector that could help to better control malaria transmission.
